Alarm apps for monthly and every-other-week schedules, compared
For every-other-week, monthly or one-date alarms, Clock is not enough, as it repeats only on weekdays; on iOS 26 an Urgent reminder in Reminders can ring instead. Alarm Pro covers those schedules in an alarm app on iOS 26.1 or later; Galarm lists monthly and any-date alarms for older iPhones; Alarmy and Alarm Clock ◎ focus on wake-up missions.
Neobile makes Alarm Pro: Flexible Alarms. This comparison is ours; every fact about another app comes from its App Store page on October 11, 2026. Tell us if something is out of date: [email protected].
How did we choose and check these apps?
On October 11, 2026 we ran five searches in the US App Store — “every other week alarm”, “biweekly alarm”, “alarm every 2 weeks”, “monthly alarm” and “monthly alarm iPhone” — and kept four alarm apps that appeared in the top five of at least one of them. Every statement about them below comes from their own App Store page that day: name, developer, how they charge (in words, no amounts), what devices and iOS versions they need, how many languages, and the features their descriptions name. We did not install or rate them. If a feature isn’t in a listing, the table says “not named”, which does not mean the app lacks it. The Clock app is described from Apple’s iPhone User Guide, which documents its options in more detail than a store page.
Which alarm app fits which schedule?
Weekly alarms, nothing to install: the iPhone Clock app
If every alarm you need repeats on fixed weekdays, Clock already does it. Apple’s guide says alarms can be set for any time and repeated on specific days of the week
, with a label, a sound, and a snooze you can turn off or lengthen. If you use a Health sleep schedule, its wake up alarm can be turned off for the next morning only with Change Next Alarm Only
.
Where it stops: there is no interval and no date, so every other week, every month and “March 14” are out of reach in Clock. Apple’s Reminders app is the built-in way around that on iOS 26: a reminder can repeat at the frequency you choose, and turning on Urgent gives an alarm when the reminder is due
, according to Apple’s guide (it needs updated reminders in iCloud). If a to-do with an alarm is enough, you may not need an app at all.
Every other week, every few days or one exact date: Alarm Pro: Flexible Alarms
This is the case we built Alarm Pro for. Its listing names daily, weekday, weekly, every-2-weeks, monthly and custom-day repeats plus one exact date; in the app the interval runs from every 1 to every 99 days, weeks, months or years, and you choose which alternate week a biweekly alarm starts in. Version 1.6 adds skip once for a single ring, and the listing names a Wake-Up Challenge (Math, Typing, Memory, Shake), Import from Clock screenshots, sharing alarms, an Apple Calendar overlay, and no account or data collection.
Where it stops: it requires iOS 26.1 or later, there is no Apple Watch app in its listing, and more than one advanced alarm at a time needs an in-app purchase.
Monthly alarms on an older iPhone, or alarms set with other people: Galarm
Galarm’s listing names repeats hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly
, alarms for any date and time, group alarms where participants confirm or decline and chat, and “buddy” alarms you create for someone else. It needs iOS 15.6 or later, so it is the option here for a monthly alarm on an iPhone that can’t run iOS 26. The listing says it works with your phone number and stores alarms in the cloud.
Where it stops: its listing does not name an every-other-week repeat or a wake-up task.
A different time each weekday, with skips and a watch app: Repeating Alarm Clock: Weekly
This app (Yobirin in its description) is about weekly schedules: a separate time, sound and snooze per weekday, a smart per-day skip
that turns itself back on the following week, one-tap skip of all today’s alarms, an Apple Watch app with complications, and iCloud sync. It is built on the same system as the iPhone’s own alarm and needs iOS 26.1 or later.
Where it stops: the listing describes weekly repetition only — no every-other-week, monthly or date rules.
Heavy sleepers who want the most mission types: Alarmy
Alarmy’s listing names wake-up missions for math, memory games, shaking and squats, a photo mission, Power Off Prevention & Anti-Snooze
, plus a snore and sleep tracker, sleep sounds and bedtime reminders. It needs iOS 17.0 or later and lists 33 languages.
Where it stops: its listing does not name every-other-week, monthly or date-based repeats.
A mission alarm with weather on the clock screen: Alarm Clock ◎
Alarm Clock ◎ by RV AppStudios was the first result for “every other week alarm” in Apple’s App Store search API on our check date. Its listing names six ways to dismiss an alarm (Simple, Shake, Math, Text, Walk, Hold), weather and temperature on the clock, a snooze limit, gradual volume, a quick nap alarm and a talking clock. It needs iOS 15.0 or later.
Where it stops: the listing mentions multiple repeating alarms
but names no every-other-week or monthly option, so we could not confirm one from the listing.

So which one should I pick?
Start from the schedule, not the app. If your alarms are weekly, Clock or Repeating Alarm Clock: Weekly will do, the second one if you want per-day times and a watch app. If the alarm repeats every other week, every few days, every month or on one date and your iPhone runs iOS 26.1 or later, Alarm Pro is built for exactly that. On an older iPhone, or if the point is to alarm other people too, Galarm’s listing covers monthly and dated alarms. If the problem is getting out of bed rather than the calendar, compare Alarmy’s and Alarm Clock ◎’s mission lists with Alarm Pro’s Wake-Up Challenge and pick the task you will actually finish half-asleep.

Questions people ask
Which iPhone alarm app can repeat every other week?
Among the apps compared here, only Alarm Pro names an every-2-weeks repeat on its App Store page. Galarm’s page names hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly repeats; the other listings describe weekly schedules or do not name repeat intervals.
Which app sets monthly alarms on an older iPhone?
Galarm lists monthly and yearly repeats and alarms for any date, and requires iOS 15.6 or later. Alarm Pro also does monthly alarms but requires iOS 26.1 or later.
Why isn’t the built-in Clock app enough?
Apple’s guide says Clock alarms repeat on the days of the week you choose, so it cannot do every other week, every month or a calendar date. Since iOS 26, a repeating Urgent reminder in the Reminders app can ring with an alarm, which covers simple cases without another app.
Which of these apps need an account?
Alarm Pro’s listing says no account. Galarm’s listing says it works with your phone number and stores alarms in the cloud. The other three listings do not say either way.
Do these apps ring when they are closed?
Alarm Pro’s listing says it sets real system alarms that ring with the app closed, and Repeating Alarm Clock: Weekly says it is built on the same system as the iPhone’s built-in alarm. The other listings do not state it.
